Romio

The Romio platform is two-fold, serving those seeking local services and those recommending local services. Create and receive trusted recommendations from experts and friends from your local community.  Romio is a social movement to drive genuine prosperity for users of the platform, democratizing digital commerce in a peer-to-peer ecosystem while rewarding loyalty and credibility.

I led the product design team and art direction where we designed the brand, web and product initiatives.  I worked with an incredibly talented team comprised of UX designers,  product marketing, and an engineering team overseas in India.

Based on research we have found that many people are starting to doubt how recommendation engine site are filtering reviews or even accurate reviews. There hase been constant suspicious activity among these sites that has created an environment of mistrust. 

Ideating a Solution

We wanted to incorporate social purpose into the digital economy at Romio, putting power back into the hands of users. Our vision is to create a community of trust with a human touch, promoting a fair rewards system that enables individuals to genuinely prosper by getting more involved.
 

Working closely with users and stakeholders, we soon realized and validated that users wanted quality recommendations from "Insider Experts" that truly know the city and are extremely credible.
